Ekstrom Names Jarchow to the Board of Texas for Congressional Term Limits
Austin, TX — Today, Chris Ekstrom, Chair of Texas for Congressional Term Limits, announced that Ryan Jarchow will be joining the board of directors to help usher U.S. Term Limits’ resolution through the state legislature.
“Many congressional members were elected decades before I was born. They have become a ruling class of career politicians, which the nation’s founders did not intend. It is time to restore their vision by implementing term limits. That’s why I am proud to join Chris Ekstrom in his efforts to pass a resolution in support of congressional term limits in Texas,” said Jarchow.
Jarchow is a conservative who supports our constitutional rights. After earning his Bachelor of Arts from North Georgia University, Jarchow spent his adult life working in different industries including retail, law enforcement, factory manufacturing, and even entertainment. He is married to the love of his life, Megan.
“We are building tremendous support in Texas. Ryan is a next generation leader who gets that Congress has forgotten us. He knows that we fix D.C. by implementing term limits. With Ryan’s youth and energy, I know that we will be successful in having Texas join the growing movement for term limits,” said Ekstrom.
Chairman Chris Ekstrom is a successful entrepreneur and president of Ekstrom Properties. In 2020, he ran for Congress in the 13th Congressional District which encompasses Amarillo and Wichita Falls. Ekstrom has also served as chair for the Courageous Conservatives PAC.
Both gentlemen have proudly signed the U.S. Term Limit (USTL) pledge while they were candidates running for elected office.
“Eighty percent of Americans support term limits on Congress including huge majorities of Democrats, Republicans and independents. This is a rare, truly nonpartisan issue with national appeal. It is time for Texas to join the effort,” added Ekstrom.
The term limits convention resolution must be passed by thirty-four states seeking to propose the amendment. The proposal must then be ratified by 38 states in order to become part of the U.S. Constitution.
Texas has strong supporters in the U.S. Congress including Senator Ted Cruz, the main sponsor of USTL’s resolution Senate Joint Resolution 3 (SJR3).
