Does Nebraska Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Nebraska has a consecutive term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Jim Pillen (as of 4/14/25), has only served one term, so he will still be eligible to run in the next gubernatorial election on 11/3/26.

Does Maryland Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Maryland has a consecutive term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Wes Moore (as of 4/14/25), has only served one term, so he will still be eligible to run in the next gubernatorial election on 11/3/26.

Does Louisiana Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Louisiana has a consecutive term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Jeff Landry (as of 4/14/25), has only served one term, so he will still be eligible to run in the next gubernatorial election in November 2027.

Does Indiana Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Indiana has a consecutive term limit of two four year terms (with a mandatory one term pause in-between). At present, current Governor Mike Braun (as of 4/14/25), has only served one term, so he will still be eligible to run in the next gubernatorial election in November 2028.      

Does Hawaii Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Hawaii has a consecutive term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Josh Green (as of 4/14/25), has only served one term, so he will still be eligible to run in the next gubernatorial election on 11/3/26.      

Does Georgia Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Georgia has a consecutive term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Brian Kemp (as of 4/14/25), will have served two terms by the next gubernatorial election (11/3/26), so he will be ineligible to run for reelection.      

Does Arizona Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Arizona has a consecutive term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Katie Hobbs (as of 4/14/25), has only served one term, so she will still be eligible to run in the next gubernatorial election on 11/3/26.      

Does Mississippi Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Mississippi has a lifetime term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Tate Reeves (as of 4/14/25), has served one full term and part of his second term, so he will be ineligible to run for reelection in the next gubernatorial election (11/2/27).

Does Delaware Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Delaware has a lifetime term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Matt Meyer (as of 4/14/25), has served one term, so he will be eligible to run for reelection in the next gubernatorial election.

Does Arkansas Have Term Limits on Their Governor?

Yes- Arkansas has a lifetime term limit of two four year terms. At present, current Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (as of 4/14/25), has served one term, so she will be eligible to run for reelection in the next gubernatorial election.
