Breaking News: Tennessee House Passes Term Limits on Congress Resolution

March 23, 2023

We have breaking news from Tennessee for you.
Hi, this is Stacey Selleck in for Holly Robichaud this week.
Today, the Tennessee house just passed our term limits on Congress resolution by a vote of 66 to 27.
This is extremely exciting news!
We’d like to thank our sponsor Representative Chris Todd for bringing in the win. Of course, we had several staff and volunteers working to get this resolution passed. A special thanks to Regional Director Aaron Dukette, the Chamblees, Mayor Glenn Jacob and all of our sponsors, and supporters in Tennessee who took action and contacted their house reps letting them know how important term limits on Congress is.

According to the most recent poll conducted by RMG Research, a whopping 78% of likely voters in Tennessee support term limits on Congress, including strong support across party lines. 77% of Republicans, 90% of Democrats, and 71% of independents back this important election reform.

Next stop, the Tennessee Senate. At this point, we have passed three chambers this legislative session: North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Which state do you think will be the next to join the call for a term limits convention?
