Bernie Moreno Pledges To Support U.S. Term Limits Amendment In Senate
First Ohio Senate Candidate To Sign U.S. Term Limits Pledge

Washington, DC – U.S. Term Limits (USTL), the leader in the non-partisan national movement to limit terms for elected officials, announces businessman Bernie Moreno, United States Senate candidate in Ohio, has signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge. With his pledge, Moreno promises if elected, to support the U.S. Term Limits amendment of three (3) House terms and two (2) Senate terms and no longer limit. Moreno is the first candidate from either political party to sign the U.S. Term Limits pledge in the pivotal Senate race. Ohioans regardless of political affiliation overwhelmingly support term limits for Congress.

The U.S. Term Limits amendment pledge is provided to every announced candidate for federal office. The U.S. Term Limits constitutional amendment has been introduced in both the U.S. Senate by Senator Ted Cruz and his colleagues (SJR 2) and the U.S. House by Representative Ralph Norman (HJR 11).  House Joint Resolution 11 has over one hundred co-sponsors from both political parties.

“Our Founding Fathers did not want people to make careers out of government,” said Bernie Moreno. “Yet sadly, it has become a full-time career for far too many officeholders contributing to the dysfunction we see in Washington. This must end. That’s why I support term limits.”

Philip Blumel, President of U.S. Term Limits said, “Bernie Moreno understands the need for congressional term limits and has been a tireless champion for term limits. He has taken the lead in signing the U.S. Term Limits pledge in this pivotal Senate race.”

According to the latest nationwide poll on term limits conducted by McLaughlin and Associates, term limits enjoy wide bipartisan support. An overwhelming 82% of voters approve of a constitutional amendment that will place term limits on members of Congress regardless of political persuasion.
