U.S. Term Limits Highlights First Joint Interviews from Campaign Co-Chairs Gov. Ron DeSantis and David Trone
Appearances on CNN, Fox News Underscore Bipartisan Support for Congressional Term Limits

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Term Limits, the leading advocacy organization dedicated to enacting term limits for members of the United State Congress, today highlighted the first joint interviews by campaign co-chairs Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former congressman David Trone (D-MD). These interviews mark the first major public media appearances since the start of the Shared Vision Campaign, which was launched with a joint op-ed published in the New York Times.

“We need new blood in Congress. The current system is hardwired to protect incumbents — it’s not an even playing field.” – Gov. Ron DeSantis

“Turnover is negligible. With a 95% re-election rate and people staying 30 or 40 years, it’s hard to argue the system is self-correcting.” … “Nothing gets done in this toxic atmosphere. We need new ideas.” – Former Rep. David Trone

These dual interview appearances reflect the broad, bipartisan coalition of support growing behind U.S. Term Limits’ efforts. In the coming months, Gov. DeSantis and former Rep. Trone will both continue engaging state legislators, congressional allies, grassroots activists, members of the press, and all stakeholders working toward establishing term limits.

U.S. Term Limits is the largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization advocating solely on term limits. Our mission is to improve the quality of government with a citizen legislature that closely reflects its constituency and is responsive to the needs of the people it serves. USTL does not require a self-limit on individuals. Our aim is to limit the terms of all members of Congress as an institution. Find out more at termlimits.org.

*U.S. Term Limits does not endorse candidates. Candidates who sign the pledge endorse term limits.
