Senator Justine Wadsack Not Endorsed By U.S. Term Limits
Wadsack Broke Her Pledge To Support Term Limits

Washington, DC – U.S. Term Limits (USTL) refutes the claim that they have endorsed Arizona State Senator Justine Wadsack in the upcoming Republican primary as she is claiming; U.S. Term Limits does not endorse candidates. The truth is Senator Wadsack broke her original campaign pledge to her constituents to support congressional term limits when it came to a vote in the Arizona State Senate. After winning the election, Wadsack voted against a resolution which would have added Arizona to a growing roster of states notifying Congress that they seek to participate in an amendment convention for the sole purpose of proposing a congressional term limits amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  Her vote was one of the votes that narrowly blocked the resolution in Arizona. Vince Leach, who is challenging Sen. Wadsack in the Republican primary on July 30th, has pledged to support the resolution.

“Americans deeply distrust their political leaders and Senator Wadsack’s lie claiming to be endorsed by U.S. Term Limits is an example of why there is this deep distrust,” said Scott Tillman, COO for U.S. Term Limits. “Senator Wadsack’s claim isn’t just misleading. It is an outright lie. U.S. Term Limits doesn’t endorse candidates.”

“Not only did we not endorse Senator Wadsack, we are calling her out for breaking her original pledge to support congressional term limits as a member of the Arizona State Senate,” concluded Tillman. “She is not just lying about our endorsement- she also lied to voters when she broke her pledge to voters to support congressional term limits.”

Polling conducted by Pew Research shows over 87% of Americans regardless of political affiliation support congressional term limits. A RMG Research Group poll in late 2022, showed 75% of Arizonans regardless of political affiliation support congressional term limits. A record number of candidates in Arizona this election cycle have signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge.
