Tina Cannon Tapped As Utah State Chair for U.S. Term Limits
Bring Strong Grassroots and Community Experience

Salt Lake City, UT – Today, U.S. Term Limits announces that Tina Cannon has agreed to be the Utah State Chair for U.S. Term Limits.  Cannon has served as a successful businesswoman founding one of Utah’s most successful accounting firms, in elected office as a member of the Morgan County Council, a candidate for Congress, and grassroots political activist.  Cannon has seen first-hand the need for term limits at the federal level and will work tirelessly in her role as Utah State Chair to see that Utah adopts a resolution for term limits.

“I am very honored to be serving as the Utah State Chair for U.S. Term Limits,” said Tina Cannon.  “Now more than ever before, the need for term limits is crystal clear.  Polls show that the one issue Americans regardless of political affiliation are united about is the need for congressional term limits.

“We have members of Congress who were first elected when the Ford Pinto was the best-selling car in America and the 8-track tape was the next big thing.  I can think of no better argument for term limits than that,” concluded Cannon.  “Serving in Congress has become for many, a lucrative lifelong job rather than a public service.  Term limits will help end career politicians and make Congress work better for all Americans.

“We are honored to have Tina leading our efforts in Utah to pass term limits on Congress,” said Philip Blumel, President of U.S. Term Limits. “She is a strong leader who understands the problems within Congress and the need for term limits.  Under her guidance, I am confident we will get our term limits resolution passed in Utah.”

Cannon is a lifelong Utahan. She graduated from Utah State University, where she met her husband of 28 years, Dave who is an Aerospace Program Director.  Together they have raised 4 amazing children.  In 2018, Cannon was the Utah Mother of the Year.  In addition to her civic activities, she is a Certified IEP Coach and Parent Advocate for the Utah Parent Center and a volunteer High School Seminary Teacher with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
