Henderson Tapped as Chair of Iowa for Congressional Term Limits

Des Moines, IA  — Today, U.S. Term Limits proudly announced that Terry Henderson will be the new Chair of the Iowa Term Limits for Congress effort.

“Congress no longer represents the voice of the people. DC is now is more focused on power than doing what is in the best interest of our nation. It is time to end the reign of career politicians who have long forgotten the people they are supposed to represent. To fix Washington, we need to return to a citizen legislature. That’s why I support term limits and I am proud to be part of this growing movement,” said Henderson.

Terry Henderson has worked in the agricultural business sector for over three decades. He is the founder and President of Achieva, a leading provider in technical training, communications, and government & public affairs related services for agriculture and farm companies across the United States and globally. He also served for 13 years as the government and public affairs person for a major chemical company.

Henderson earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University. He is married to his wife Beth of 32 years, who ran for Congress in 2020. They have two adult children, Oliver and Amelia.

The Hendersons own White Stag Farm in Centerville, a small agriculture technology and tourism business with crops, draft horses and an assortment of livestock. They also own farms in Indiana, Oklahoma and Colorado.

“We are honored to have Terry Henderson leading our efforts in Iowa to pass term limits on Congress. He has been a strong business leader who understands the problems within Congress. Under his guidance, I am confident we will get our term limits resolution passed in Iowa,” said Philip Blumel, President of U.S. Term Limits.

Blumel added “Eighty percent of Americans support term limits on Congress, including huge majorities of Democrats, Republicans and independents. This is a rare, truly nonpartisan issue with national appeal.”
