USTL Idaho State Director Files to run for Governor; Carri Campbell Assumes Role
Boise, Idaho — U.S. Term Limits (USTL) Idaho State Director, Edward R. Humphreys, has officially filed to run for Governor of the Gem State. With unstoppable energy and drive, Ed has organized grassroots efforts in Idaho while working full-time as a financial advisor. He earned a Masters in finance and a graduate certificate in financial analysis. Humphreys has been integral advancing the term limits effort in the state.
A strong term limits advocate, Humphrey’s number one platform issue will be to help usher term limits resolutions through the state legislature. U.S. Term Limits wishes Ed continued success as he campaigns for governor.
With the Idaho state directorship vacated by Humphreys, “We’re pleased to announce that Carri Campbell has stepped up to accept the leadership role,” says Ron Hooper, Western Regional Director for USTL. Campbell was promoted from the Idaho Field Director position.
Ed Humphreys says, “Congressional term limits is likely the most impactful way to bring positive change to the caustic culture of Washington D.C. Carri is dedicated to that cause and will make a fantastic state director for Idaho,”
Carri is a financial consultant advising on securities and investments with The Adviser Group, LLC. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Idaho. 
As state director, Campbell is responsible for introducing the U.S. Term Limits resolution in the Idaho State legislature. She will work with sponsors to identify term limits champions in both chambers. As a key component of the overall strategy, Campbell is tasked with directing the grassroots leadership teams and will work to create opportunities for candidates and legislators to sign the term limits convention pledge.
According to a 2020 term limits poll of likely voters in Idaho conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, term limits enjoy wide bipartisan support. An overwhelming 84% of voters approve of a constitutional amendment that will place term limits on members of Congress. This includes 86% of Republicans, 79% of Democrats, and 83% of the other parties. Large majorities also say that Congress members stay in power for too long, and that they’re more likely to support state lawmakers who help advance congressional term limits.
Once a term limits on Congress proposal is agreed upon, 38 states must ratify it in order for it to become part of the Constitution.
